Jan & I came back to Nova Scotia in the middle of a snow/freezing
rain/hail/storm at 9:00pm. My God, what a difference! Schools were cancelled
from Good Friday until the Friday following - longest run of closed days
in 39 years. We miss Nerja!
A friend of ours, Darlene Campbell, is travelling in September on an
ocean cruise, with a stop-over of a week somewhere. We heartily recommended
Nerja, of course. They'll be there for just a week, but we thought that
Inter-Sol might have an apartment for the 4 women. We gave Darlene your
(Jil's) E-mail address.
Our sincere thanks for ALL the excellent arrangements...
After video-taping the corrida, I found when I was editing my tapes
that I just couldn't watch it! I'll keep the pageantry & the matadors'
practice swirls, and leave out the rest.

Hi Jil
We're back in Calgary, just thinking of becoming spring here, after
a most enjoyable Spain trip and excursion into summer. We are already recommending
your Carabeo property to friends and co-workers.
You were so very right about the Carabeo property. We were delighted
with the interior and facilities there, and even more delighted with the
view and closeness to Carabeo Beach, on which we passed 5 very quiet and
warm days. In fact, we were seriously considering trying to extend our
stay in Nerja by a couple of days, instead of visiting Toledo and Segovia,
as were our original plans. In the end, we decided to go with our original
plan, and lucked out in that regard, since Nerja got its first rain in
months the day we left. Also, as it turned out, our restful beaching week
in Nerja left us refreshed and able to appreciate the touring we did in
Toledo & Segovia.
My concerns (remember the co-worker who was constantly worried about
theft?) about beach security proved mercifully unfounded. People beside
us on Carabeo beach were leaving their gear unattended for up to several
hours with never any problems, and we never felt uncomfortable wandering
around in the evenings either. For that matter through three weeks in Spain
we never found reason to be unduly concerned about security, even in Sevilla
and Madrid, although the frenetic pace of Madrid did get to us a bit -
they rush sround a lot in central Spain.
I can now see why there is not all that much mention about the need
to rent a car. We only used ours 3 times during the week we were there
(trips to Granada, Gibraltar, and Cuevas de Nerja). Nerja is so easy to
get around on foot that it's easy to forget about the car altogether.
Although the cooking facilities in our apartment were quite good, the
selection of eateries in Nerja were indeed so large that we couldn't resist
eating out all but one night.
I still have a bit of Jet Lag, so I'll send this off before I expire
for the night.

Hello!
I just want to send you some reactions on our week in Nerja. We rented
appartments nos.35,19,14 in Oasis Rabat. All of us were so impressed over
the appartments and the Rabat area itself.It was clean,beautiful and wonderfully
maintained.
We took several trips outside Nerja and found out that this part of
Andalucia is a perfect start for excursions. We experienced "Semana Santa"
and found it extremely inte- resting.

Jil, how are u. Its been a long time. Joyce and I are still around and
planning our biz and pleasure trips for the balance of the year.
Was considering bac to Nerja with your help but want to explore another
part of the country...further south.
Do you hav any connections with Nick down around Estepona or a little
more north but not more than Benalmedina. It must be of equal to what we
had last summer with you guys.

Enjoyed my stay in Nerja very much. A friend of mine is taking a two
week vaction in early March and I told him about you (and showed him the
stuff you have up on the Net). He is very interested in renting a town
house, preferably in the Bajamar development, for two weeks in early March.

Dear Jil, Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our
two weeks in Spain! The villa was great and despite the rather wet,cool
weather we did a lot of travelling around. There were some landslides on
several of the mountain roads, it was quite a shock to suddenly find a
big chunk of road missing! We even saw a villa that had slide down the
side of a mountain!

First of all I would like to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Los
Pinos in Nerja, Spain in October/November this year. The accommodation
was superb, unfortunately we couldn't say the same about the weather. It
did manage to stay nice for the wedding, so I guess that was a big plus.
To get down to business - my brother and his family are so impressed
with what we had to say about Los Pinos that they have asked me to enquire
about availability and cost for a holiday at Los Pinos arriving 28 March
1998 and staying for thirteen nights. The party consists of ...

Re; Casa Burriana.
Hi Jil - just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Nerja
at your villa. The location was perfect - so close to the water, and everything
was spotlessly clean, spacious and well equipped. We appreciated the groceries
when we arrived as the stores were closed for the first 2 days we were
there.
We had a great month's holiday and the weather was perfect every day
- sunny and hot. We liked the accessibility of the villa to the whole town
and the beach - we didn't really use the car that much. As our daughter
said "it's paradise" . After having been in the city of Barcelona since
March, she was anxious to get away from all the noise, smoke and pollution
of the city and Nerja was perfect - although they do have a lot of those
noisy motorbikes, but the evenings were quiet.
I just want you to know that we appreciated all your help and advice
in advance - it helped a lot. Hopefully, we can do it again sometime and
would certainly recommend it to our friends if they are looking for a bit
